St. Joe's in the Sunshine State
The Monks baseball and softball teams traveled to Fort Myers, Fla., to participate in annual Spring Break tournaments and kick off the 2008 seasons. Alumni, parents and friends were in full force to cheer on the Royal Blue and White as they took on teams from all over the country.
SJC fans enjoyed the game from the stands.
While in Florida, more than 100 parents and student athletes came together for a casual dinner hosted by the Institutional Advancement office. The event was held at Florida Gulf Coast University, and attendees had a chance to hear from President Joe Lee, softball coach Jamie Smyth '92 and baseball coach Will Sanborn '86.
We can't let the students have all the fun! Local alumni and friends of the college met at the City of Palms Park to cheer on the World Champion Boston Red Sox during a spring training game vs. the Cincinnati Reds. The SJC crowd met in the park for a private picnic before the afternoon game.
