Saint Joseph's College of Maine

Year One

YEAR.ONE

YEAR.ONE is a program that will contribute to your success during your 1st year at Saint Joseph's College.

Through this program, you will:

  • obtain skills to use the resources available for incoming students,
  • identify and overcome potential problems,
  • benefit from the insight and experience from older students, recent grads, faculty and staff,
  • get a leg-up on the challenges of being a first-year student.

The program will:

  • provide important tools for success,
  • inform you of workshops and resources you can take advantage of --- tell you about study breaks that can help you refocus and refresh,
  • notify you about opportunities for extra-curricular involvement.

The best part? You can access the information at your own pace and any way you like: online, in person, via telephone or email. and the information is available to you when you need it.

Where to find YEAR.ONE?

YEAR.ONE on WebCT – it's easy to access, full of informative "lessons" – no grades, don't worry – and ready when you are.

The Academic Center – located in Alfond Hall, room 326. People to help you or to just chat, materials to use, computers to compute, candy to eat, comfy chairs to sit in. It doesn't get much better than that.

YEAR.ONE Advisor - Give them a call or drop them an email. Don't remember who that is? Call The Academic Center at extension 7563 or email  shmurphy@sjcme.edu
