Sigma Theta Tau The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, provides leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people. We support the learning and professional development of our members who strive to improve nursing care worldwide. Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing. Kappa Zeta-at-Large There are local chapters of members in the individual states and throughout the world. In the state of Maine, there are two chapters. In Southern Maine there is the The Kappa Zeta at Large Chapter which includes members from the University of Southern Maine, Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and the University of New England, Westbrook campus. Monthly meetings are held and social events are planned.
